Rest well. Wake up slow.

You have been on the road. Or in meetings. Or both.

This is where you stop.

Our rooms sit in a quiet residential ward on the edge of Serowe, next to Adelaide School. Traffic noise stays out. Birdsong gets in. In the evening, the sun drops behind the Kalahari sandveld and the whole yard turns gold.

One guest put it simply: “Very clean rooms. Peaceful neighbourhood. Customer service is to die for.”

A good base for Serowe

Serowe is the traditional capital of the Bangwato people. Khama III founded it here in 1902. It is the birthplace of Sir Seretse Khama, Botswana’s first president. With about 55,000 residents, it is one of the largest villages in the country.

From your room you can reach:

  • Khama III Memorial Museum: the Khama family story, plus a room dedicated to author Bessie Head. A short drive into the village.

  • Khama Rhino Sanctuary: about 25 km north on the Serowe–Orapa road. Black and white rhino, giraffe, zebra and more than 230 bird species.

  • The Royal Cemetery on Thathaganyane Hill: resting place of Sir Seretse Khama. Ask us about visiting. Access needs permission.

  • The Kgotla and the Seretse Khama statue: the traditional meeting place at the centre of village life.

  • Palapye: 45 km east on the A1, for the train, the bus and the highway to Gaborone or Francistown.
